On Sunday morning, August 6, 2023, the Faculty of Sciences in Al-Asaba, in collaboration with Al-Huruj Al-Sawda Company for Technical Consultations and Training, organized a workshop on prickly pear under the theme "Cultivation, Industry, Sustainability, and Investment" with the slogan "Expanding the Circle of Interest."

The workshop began with verses from the Holy Quran and the national anthem, followed by speeches from the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Jamal Al-Daeeq, and the President of the University, Prof. Nasr Mohammed Eshtawah.  

The workshop activities were conducted and managed by:  

- Dr. Ali Al-Kabeer, Faculty Member at the University of Tripoli  

- Dr. Jameela Salem Al-Labbad, Faculty Member at the University of Gharyan  

The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, the President of the University, Dr. Nasr Eshtawah, some college deans, and a select group of faculty members.  

The workshop featured valuable presentations by esteemed professors highlighting the importance of this overlooked resource, its significance for officials and farmers, and encouraging interaction and inquiries from the attendees.  

The workshop concluded with words of gratitude to the organizers and contributors to its success, along with the distribution of certificates of appreciation.
